Creado y organizado por 5célula arte y comunidad, agrupación enfocada en la producción de nuevos imaginarios y territorios culturales, el Festival de Videoartistas Chinas se ha realizado durante 2015 y 2017 en varias sedes de la ciudad de México y otras ciudades del país como Querétaro, Chihuahua y Ciudad Juárez, y fue invitado a presentarse en San José de Costa Rica en 2018. Esta vez el III Festival tendrá una itinerancia mayor y servirá para proyectar con más fuerza en México el arte en video que se produce en China actualmente.
¿Por qué mujeres?
Estamos convencidas de que es necesario apoyar y fortalecer la creación artística que realizan las mujeres en el mundo, ya que la historia del arte ha ignorado su trabajo a lo largo del tiempo y del espacio. Al establecer un territorio propio, el público podrá descubrir otras maneras de decir el mundo que usualmente permanecen ocultas. Por otro lado, la audiencia mexicana está muy interesada en conocer las diversas propuestas que comparten las artistas.
Reunir el trabajo de artistas chinas que trabajen en China y cualquier país del mundo en un solo lugar, permitirá tener una amplia perspectiva de la fuerza creativa de la mitad del cielo del arte chino.
Esperamos compartir con el público de México los diferentes discursos artísticos, perspectivas, estéticas y temas que abordan mujeres con raíces culturales similares pero distintos entornos personales.
Created and organized by 5célula arte y comunidad, a collective focused on the production of new imaginary and cultural territories, the Festival of Chinese Videoartists has been held during 2015 and 2017 in various venues in Mexico City and other cities in the country such as Querétaro, Chihuahua and Ciudad Juárez, and was invited to perform in San José de Costa Rica in 2018. This time the III Festival will have a greater roaming and will serve to project more strongly in this part of the world the video art that is produced in China today.
Why women?
We are convinced that it is necessary to support and strengthen the artistic creation that women make in the world, since art history has ignored their work over time and space. By establishing their own territory, the public can discover other ways of saying the world that usually remain hidden. On the other hand, the Mexican audience is very interested in knowing the various proposals that artists share.
Gathering the work of Chinese artists working in China and any country in the world in one place will allow a broad perspective of the creative force of half the sky of Chinese art.
We hope to share with the Mexican public the different artistic discourses, perspectives, aesthetics and topics that women with similar cultural roots but different personal environments address.
中国录像艺术家节由5célula arte y comunidad（一个专注于生产新的想象和文化领域的集体）创建和组织，于2015年和2017年在墨西哥城和墨西哥其他城市如克雷塔罗， 奇瓦瓦州和华雷斯城，并受邀于2018年在哥斯达黎加圣何塞演出。这次第三届音乐节将有更大的漫游，并将在世界这一地区更加强烈地投射在中国生产的录像艺术 今天。
为什么是女性？
我们坚信，有必要支持和加强世界范围内女性的艺术创作，因为在长久的艺术史当中，女性艺术家的作品一直得不到重视。我们通过建立自己的艺术领域，社会将能够发现其他不为人知的新艺术世界。另一方面，墨西哥民众对了解艺术家分享的各种经验非常感兴趣。
将中国艺术家在中国在世界上任何一个国家/地区的作品汇聚在一处,将使中国艺术半边天的创造力具有广阔的视野。
我们希望您可以与墨西哥民众分享具有相似文化底蕴，但个人环境不同的女性所讲的不同艺术话语、观点、美学和主题。
